Helen of Troy

Helen of Troy

Wars have been waged for women, and empires reduced to dust. History is full of such stories of women who caused a downfall of even the greatest empires. The Trojan war is one such story. Helen of Sparta (more famously known as Helen of Troy) was considered to be one of the most beautiful women of her times. She was married to King Menelaus of Sparta.

Just like Helen, Noor (T-39), one of the most beautiful tigers of her era is one of the most sought out tigresses. Noor was the mate of Ustad (T-24) for a long time before Ustad was exiled to an enclosure allegedly for turning into a man-eater.

Aurangzeb (T-57) wooed her next. He was young and had the charm and he even looked after her cubs from Ustad. Like King Menelaus, Aurangzeb was so much in love with Noor, the Helen of tiger world.

In a far-off kingdom, Kumbha (T-34) was the supreme ruler. Ruling like no other, for years. His queen Laadli (T-8) has been his queen since the beginning, and together, they raised three litters (in addition to one litter that died much earlier); this itself is a feat in the kingdom of behemoths.

As fate would have it, Kumbha stole Noor from Aurangzeb; just the way Prince Paris of Troy eloped with Helen. Kumbha was love struck, and he wouldn’t leave Noor’s side. A furious Aurangzeb came in search of Noor, and he waged a war against Kumbha, just like Menelaus against Troy, famously known as the Trojan war.

An unexpecting Kumbha, one of the biggest tigers of Ranthambore was fatally wounded in the war that ensued. The Helen of tiger world, Noor, not only cost Kumbha his life, almost, but also his kingdom. Kumbha was nursed to health by the forest department, but he could never be the same old king. Like Troy, his kingdom was completely destroyed. His kingdom and his queen, Laadli were stolen by Rocky (T-58), brother of Aurangzeb.

The King of Kundal (the area ruled by Kumbha) is now roaming on the boundaries of other kingdoms; his love for Noor, his Helen brought his downfall and cost him his kingdom.
